GT-8, 4 cable method, and my Rectoverb

I have my tremoverb set up to use the GT-8 with the 4 cable method. It's great. No more tap dancing, i've got it set up to switch channels on the tremoverb as well as add effects. I also use some of thee gt-8 preamps for mid gain and low gain and some different lead tones. I have the...

4 Button Footswitch - What every Tremoverb owner will want!

I saw that on e-bay and was considering it. With the bugs in it I don't think I'll be purchasing it for that price. I rarely turn the reverb or tremolo on or off. What I really need is a two in 1 box that does the channel and the loop. I saw one go for $10 + shipping from him. I was all set to...

    Rectoverb Owners!!

I used to own a Rectoverb Series II. I ran several combinations with the amp just to see what I liked the best. I had an Avatar 2x12 open back cab with a V30 and G12h30 speaker. The amp plugged into only the cab sounded much clearer and more defined on both clean and distorted settings. The C90...

My 1st Mesa: Tremoverb head + Recto 212s

Killer looking rig. Congrats. I love my Tremoverb. This coming from a Mark IV before. I like it's simplicity and wide range of tones. The blues mode smokes for so many applications.

What cab to add to a DR TOV Head (2ch) + 212 Rec Cab?

I just got a second 2x12 last night and now run 1 open and 1 closed back 2x12 and it sound great. The open back gives you a bigger clean sound and the closed back keeps the low end tight. I recorded this quick clip today with my cam corder. I'll try to get some Audio files up for you dial up...

    I LOVE my Tremoverb!!!

I've owned a Mark IV and Rectoverb before my Tremoverb and the Tremoverb beats both. The Mark might be slightly more flexible with the three channels, but I like the Tremoverb's tone better. The mark was just too fickle. One change in volume or a setting threw everything else off and I was...

    Whats your favorite Boogie!!!

Of the Boogies I've owned, I love my tremoverb the best. Flexible, great tone, gobs of gain, does low gain well also. I've owned a Mark IV and rectoverb and they were both great amps, but I just like everything about the tremoverb's tone. The mark IV was great, but I didn't like how fickle it...

    Thinking of Selling my TOV.....

I would say the going rate for a tremoverb combo would be in the 1000 to 1100 range depending on condition. I've seen nicer ones sell for less that $1000. I wouldn't pay over $1200 unless it was in factory new condition. just my two cents.

    Avatar Cabinets

I have the Avatar special with V30 and G12h30 open back with my tremoverb and love it. It's also performed well with my rectoverb and Mark IV. I got a close back panel also for the cab, but prefer it in open back configuration. The cleans are much nicer and the closed back bass was to boomy.

    Getting rid of Tremoverb???

Cause guitarists will always be chasing tone? I don't care if everybody hates them, I love 'em and it keeps the price low if I ever need to pick another one up.

    Tremoverb gain issue??

Yep. If your gain is significantly lower than that you have some sort of problem, i'd guess you need new tubes. The clean parts were done by just rolling the volume back on the guitar. The guitar is a superstrat with a gibson 500T pickup in the bridge, which is a pretty hot pickup, but the...

    Tremoverb gain issue??

9 o'clock on the channel master. That's louder than apartment volume for sure at that point. It's what I rehearse at with a band with a loud drummer.

    Tremoverb gain issue??

You probably need new tubes. I find plenty of gain on the blues mode for soloing with the gain at 1 oclock. I can hit Nickleback and Seether heavy on the blues channel with the gain at 3. Check out my clip here that was done on the blues mode of my tremoverb with the gain at 1 oclock to...

    Trem-o-verb vs MarkIV

In a perfect world I would have both. But I sold the Mark IV and kept the tremoverb. I just love that amp. Much easier for me to get my tone in it than the Mark Iv.

    Trem-o-verb Dual Rectifier on eBay

It's a washburn steve stevens ss40 strat with dual humbuckers. They are gibson 496r/500T buckers from a gibson explorer. I used the bridge 500t for the Vh riff and rolled back the volumes for the clean. The clean blues riffs I switched to the neck. The guitar is a cheapo guitar. My american...

    Trem-o-verb Dual Rectifier on eBay

I've got a clip and vid posted of my tremoverb on the rig and tones section. I've got mesa el34's and preamp tubes. Here's the link. http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?t=10204

    Tremoverb cleans?

I wonder how hard it would be to put the feet on the top of the headshell and the handle on the bottom so it would be mounted like a Mark or F series head? you wouldn't have the vents for the tubes, but that wouldn't be a huge deal I wouldn't think.
