tonewood is BS. solid guitars woods have nothing to do with tone,pups catch the strings vibrations,not the strings vibrations amplified by the wood just like on ACOUSTIC guitars.

I retubed my triaxis with 5 sovtek 12AX7 WB tubes. I noticed a huge difference between the original mesa and those kids. There's more distortion at the same parameter value. Harmonics everywhere. Very lush distortions sounds. Cleans are more tight,more vivid tones. To my ears it is really an...

I read some magazines talking about pups magnetism.They said their magnetism will become weak through the years. Does anybody knows something about it ? :shock:

Having a 50 watts amp on its max volume. Having a 100 watts amp on its max volume. I think 100 watts amp is louder. 1-So having less watts doesn't mean you have less volume ? 2-If not, less watts means what ? So whem I'm buying an amp,what parameter will tell me what model is louder ...

I bought an used 2.90. So I was wondering my 2.90 with volumes on 2 is more louder than a peavey 200 watts of a friend of mine with volume on 5. So if they have almost the same watts , 2.90= 180 peavey = 200 Why the hell my 2.90 is so louder ? So knowing their watts doesn't mean anything ? Does...
