excellent comment, but it's called being a musician on a budget. a used Marshall cabinet was all i could afford 10 years ago when i bought it and has always been on the list to eventually upgrade.

is it better to use instrument or speaker/signal cables for the fx loop? also if i'm running any effects after my guitar into the input, such as wah, should i use an instrument cable or signal cable after said effects pedal into the amp? thanks

that's kinda what i figured, but i've heard from some that there's no difference except for the angle of the speaker and the perception of the sound depending on cabinet vs. listener position.
