I've liked EL34's in my Lonestar, Roadster, and Electra Dyne a lot better than 6L6's. When I got my Mark V, I immeadiately ordered a set of EL34's for it. Surprisingly, in the V I like the 6L6's a lot better.

I used LoneStars both classics and specials for the last few years. Now I use Mark V's. To me the V is better for everything, with even better channel 1 clean sounds than the LoneStars. I almost can't believe how great the Mark V is!
