Do you honestly think that a handful of people could control the market value by that much? You seem to have your mind made up, anyway. Enjoy your Mark III's, as they are great amps. 8)

cheers joey,i'm a vintage mesa fan i'd just like a vid 2 settle what is a big debate on this board

But posters have been telling you for over 2 pages of pots now that a vid won't settle anything...

At bedroom/living room volume, I can not hear much difference. You are even less likely to hear much difference when recorded off a digital camcorder or whatnot. There are too many factors involved to fairly compare the amps. The III can be dialed in so close that you would have to hear them side by side in a live environment to notice much difference at all. Even then, it is all preference as some people actually prefer the III.

They are both great amps, if you have the money for a C+, go for it. If not, the Mark III is an awesome amp, and is affordable.

A video won't settle anything. The only people that I have seen highly doubting the C+/III difference (on this board) did not have both amps to compare side by side. They were basing their opinions on past memories or some bullshit video or soundclips. There IS no substitute for an A/B test using yourself as the player, with the same guitar, tubes, speakers/cabs, and room. Even then, some people cannot justify all that extra money, especially if they lend their ear to more of the METAL style. If there was really no difference, the C+ would have a lower resale value, because it has one less channel. Think about it. :?:

In this video, you will notice that he says the C+ is a non-simulclass model. If you go back to the first page and read about the differences in the 60/100 and Simulclass C+ amps, you can understand why the C+ in this video sounds more open and raw. I could then proceed to tell you that my early Mark IVA sounded more open and raw than the Mark IV in this video. See, a video solves nothing, it just adds fuel to the fire. Peace out!

So whats wrong with watching porn and amp porn is even better lol.

If porn was anything like reality, there would be no job openings for pizza delivery guys or any door-to-door salesmen, EVER! The fact of the matter is that none of the C+ owners that have replied to this thread are trying to sell you an amp. I have no intention of selling mine anytime soon, so I really don't care what the market value is. All I know is that I spent several years chasing the C+ mojo with the Mark III and Mark IV. I finally found the Xotic RC Booster as my 3rd channel with the C+. The chase is OVER. 8)
