    FS: Mesa Boogie DC-3

Selling my last DC-3. I’ve had 5 of them over the past 12 years. It’s in great shape overall. Little signs of wear on the tolex. Only real things to mention are the rubber on the handle has split and one reverb pot was replaced and has a non Mesa knob on it. Just had it serviced a few months ago...

Well as I'm retubing, I just confused myself... Looking at this pic, will someone just confirm I'm right that the V1 preamp tube position is on the right hand side? Thanks

What tubes for my DC-3 ?

I previously filled my DC-3 with all Mesa tubes el84's and spax7's. Sounded fine. I have another one and was wanting to try some different tubes but I'm not sure what to get. I really don't want to spend a lot of time trying different ones and switching them out. Would like I just order some...

    Tolex glue question... Advice please

I don't know if I got a bad batch... But I was a little curious when I started the project. The mojo glue had the consistency of water. Didn't seem at all like the contact cement in used to using. Very thin. Thoughts???

    Tolex glue question... Advice please

I re tolexed my DC 3 a few years ago. Used mojo tolex glue and seemed to work pretty well with the exception of the edges. Most of the ends have begun to peel up a bit especially on the top rear where it gets hot. Any recommendations in what I could use to just glue the edges back down? Though...

Need advice, trade my DC-3 for a rectoverb?

Thanks for the input. I do realize its bigger than my dc3, which is why I really would have no intention of keeping it. Just figured I could make a little more on the recto than my DC. The only way I can buy new gear is by selling something I already have. This could get me closer to my lil...

Need advice, trade my DC-3 for a rectoverb?

So, I've been playing a DC-3 for years. Wanted to go to something smaller, maybe a 65 amps little elvis. Just had someone offer me an even trade for a rectoverb series 2 combo 1x12, 60 watts. No footswitch. I know it's kind of opposite what I was looking for, but seems like a steal... Im...

Help...info needed on a mosrite fuzzrite

Ok, so I was planning on selling my thiele cab with an evm12l speaker for around $300. I had someone offer me an even trade for what he says is a version 1 germanium transistor mosrite fuzzrite. Any thoughts? Not exactly sure what to look at on this pedal, I believe that the germanium ones are...

Check out my custom true bypass looper

Very good points! Yeah, if your a serious gigging musician or tough on gear, I'm sure they will get scuffed up. We have tried some different laquers and oils to protect them, and I think maple is the choice for the main portion due to it's hardness. His first one was metal. Looked a lot like...

Check out my custom true bypass looper

He would like to sell them at some point. Still trying to figure out the best designs. He's got some nice cocobolo for the next one. It does take a bit of time right now to build since he is making the enclosures from scratch and still learning. Not sure on the pricepoint either... Nice wood is...

Check out my custom true bypass looper

My friend is in the early stages of building true bypass loopers. The cool thing is that he's building them out of hardwood boxes. So if anyone is gonna like them, it's gotta be PRS and Boogie fans. We all love wood right? Anyway, it's getting some finishing touches and I'll be plugging it in to...

Holy Cow...I just looked on Dougs Tubes and am now completely confused...so many choices. I wouldn't mind mixing up the preamp tubes, but again, I have no clue what to get!
