I must start out by saying I love this board and it has been so invaluable for me in recent weeks since I found.
Recently I have been reading about speakers e.g. V30 vs G12T-100 . My rig consists of a Mark IV via a recto 2x12 horizontal (V30's in there) and a satellite out to a Mark IIB with the original EV. While I love my Mark IIB, I have always thought that EV was a bit harsh and have had issue finding that nice warm tone that's in my head. I like the V30's, but am experiencing the ear fatigue/ice picks as I'm playing in a smaller room.
Not knowing the tech side of things well and asking a purely "opinion/preference" what do you all think of:
1. Replacing one of my V30's in the recto cab with a G12T-100
2. Putting the V30 in the Mark IIB.
I can't really afford to buy two new speakers and was hoping to get the most bang for my buck. Has anyone heard the V30 in an open backed combo?
