Well, Scott got one without a Reverb. The Chassis Code says KDG....

Here is the post he started after he got the Amp. (Pics included)

Wow! Man I must be losing it. I remember that amp.
In fact know it's head cab and "matching" 4x12 very well ;-)
But for some reason the "D" on the chassis never registered in my brain.

Even found this post from Scott where he explains how the 1/2 power switch works and what Mike B told him about the power output.

....... the full/half switch engages another screen resistor to lower the plate voltage to all tubes, therefore all tubes always on, so never class A and always simul. My switch doesn't appear to do anything either, but mike b told me it's working as it should. Mike b also said the simul are about 120 watt full and about 80 watt half and that would account for the switch appearing to do nothing. ..........

and Joey added this (in the same thread) about the 1/2 power on the MkIII Coli's:

On the Mark III Coliseum simul amps that I had, the voltage to pin #4 of the power tube sockets(outer four) was shut off in half power mode.

George,

I hope this is not an early case of "Sometimers" disease kicking in.

Me too. I think it's more of a 'me not keeping up' on things as much as I used to do.
Kind of like if you don't play a song for awhile you sort of forget it, but it comes back quickly with a little practice/ refresher.
Not a big deal, probably just been a bit out of touch due to doing too many things....

I've seen one Coli C+ Simul. It's in Switzerland. Four 6L6 outer sockets and 2 EL34 inner sockets.
Long head in Imbuya.

I stand corrected.
Is it Roberts?
Not to discount kippiejr stating he has two but this is the first IIC+ Simul Coli I've heard of....

Get off that bicycle !!!

The KRG Simul was Rob's. There is another all 6L6 Coli I saw in Italy. Nice guy sent me all the necessary
porn.

I pulled one of the chassis and have porn picks if anyone wants to pm me with email addy. I sent it to Mike that arrived today for ++...   . Noticed KARG. Never seen that before "A." It is definitely Simul-class confirmed.

Funny thing....
I've got in touch with Scott since this posting etc..
He's been away travelling but thought it was a KDRG (and he's the owner!)
Seems I'm not the only one with a 'suspect' memory ;-) lol

That KARG code is odd.
But considering all the variations we've seen from Mesa from back then, there's always some random oddball thing showing up
I wonder what the "A" means.

Mike should be calling soon. I will ask him if he can shed some light on the "A". Update: Mike just called me and actually remembers the amp. Man amazes me. Well he confirmed that it was a C that was upgraded to a +, However the "A" in KARG was the coding for simul-class during that time period. He confirmed it was originally a factory C simul-class made for a "musician here in LA". He told me it originally was housed in a Imbuya head shell. ****, wish I had that. I got it in a stock Mesa black tolex shell. Anyway, add it to the boogie files, confirmed simul-class factory option in the 300 series.

Hi all, just join,

I got '84 factory IIC+ Coli KDRG Cream Tolex K407 in Japan at 21/May/2016.
I asked and send some pics for MESA.

Mr. Trent(MESA) and Mr. Mike B approved it is one of the very few factory IIC+ simul coli,
and they said it could be an amp that was made for Mike Lundau.
Of course the amp has sign of "MB" "+" on the chassis back,
and final inspection date "MB 12/84" on under surface of the chassis.
The PCB RP-11A has very small inspection sign "RS", Trent said "RS" are indeed Randy's.

I think this amp is the brother of the Oct'84 KDRG K391(AL-X's) and Feb'85 KDG K411(Scott's).

This is one of the monster amp, real Holy Grail tone!!!
Love this!

Thanks,

Tak

Hey Tak.

That sounds great.

I'm about to buy a Coliseum and would like to verify it's indeed an IIC+ (and not a IIC). Where exactly did you send the pics and infos to verify your amp? Do you have an E-Mail?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Marc, Yes I have.

I think you can talk to MESA from [email protected] in your first session,
You need complete to typing your state for the site in MESA.
http://www.mesaboogie.com/support/contact-us.html#support-form
If Mr. Trent Blake "Product Specialist" corresponding you,
you can get something idea to verify "your amp",
or you can get a chance to talk to Mr. Mike Bendinelli AKA legend of the IIC+.

Then, But if you want to understand rightly what's that mean,
let you read initially this board from the first to the end,
this great knowledge is one of the Dictionaly or the Library who needed
to understand what's the IIC+, what's the IIC, What's the FxxK.

Thanks, enjoy

Tak
