    another IIC anomally

Hi guys ! I have a question which I would love you to answer me, regarding a C+. Can you tell me what month and year was Serialnumber 13723 made/finished? It actually has Randalls initials below the power cord... first time I saw that.. Thanks and Cheers ! ;-)

Current value and collectabilty of the Mark II C+?

Boogiebabies, it is not my intention to sound like a dick, I'm sorry for any misunderstandings. I'm a big fan of the C+ and a big fan of your work on the "for dummies" guide. You're truly amazing, and I guess I've read that one a number of times - it has been of good use for me so Thank you...

Current value and collectabilty of the Mark II C+?

International purchase power with good help from my lands currency. I'm absolutly not trying to fish out a cheap C+, all I'm saying is that it's not an item that will rise in value with a 100% guarantee, and I'm sorry that the C+ absolutley puts everything else within Mesa's procuct catalogue in...

Current value and collectabilty of the Mark II C+?

I may have been a little off in my little obnoxious rant there and I'm sorry. I'm just really opposed to buying a C+ as or partly as a speculative investment. Play, hear -don't look. Haha. =) I've been looking at the 'bay and I see items that are sold for up to $4000 and I just think that this...

Current value and collectabilty of the Mark II C+?

Oh, and another thing here. I care to elaborate a little on the value bit. This is pure economics. It is you guys ie. the market, who decides the price of the amps. If there wasn't such an incredible DEMAND for this specific model, prices wouldn't have been so consistanly high. On the same...

Current value and collectabilty of the Mark II C+?

Not to be rude or anything regarding price increase, but so did US home prices until recently. I'm not saying I think the "C+ bubble" is going to burst or anything, but prices are bound to decrease somewhat in a matter of time. "No trees grow into heaven". I love the amp, but please don't see...

    Stupid Mark C+ question

Thanks for the replys, guys !! You are all truly fantastic ! While I don't seem to be exposed to any of the tube socket-problems you're describing, I did try out the EL34-s in the outer sockets, and it surprisingly sounds absolutly fine to me! There is a little bit of buzz on the lead channel...

    Stupid Mark C+ question

Both the rockers up, yes, the tubes are 50/50% new and old... I don't know how old though. Tech said that he couldn't understand the hybrid powertube thing and put all 4 6L6 in it. Works fine in Class A mode, but still hums in Simul, and I recon there would be no difference to that if I swapped...

    Stupid Mark C+ question

Thanks, Platypus!! Btw, I just brought it back home after sitting half a year at a useless tech with his thumb up in the ***..problem is a hum when standby is on, except it's only in Simul-class mode. Could it be the power-tubes? .. and, since you are a C+ man; is there anything wrong with...

    Stupid Mark C+ question

...Where is the V5 preamp tube slot located? Next to the trafo, or amongst the 3 ?
  12. S

My Mark IIC+ is at the doctors...

... and the tech found a hum when using the 2pcs. 6L6 + 2pcs. EL34 - but not when using all 6L6. What could be the problem? Is not the hybrid power section quite common i the Mark? It is a C+ combo, all options minus reverb, with an export/international transformer. Could anyone be at help?

    117 to 230 volts in a mesa boogie 20/20

Does this kind of easy mod to change from 110V > 230V also apply to the TriAxis?

    TriAxis through Mark power?

That's interesting ! Tell me, what are the biggest Con's as opposed to running a 290 in there? I'll be using the Tri for that insane Recto-no-mids Pantera-style sounds and for Cleans as well, and the IIC for leads and rythm. Using the Tri as an ""extra gear" when a gig calls for different...

    TriAxis through Mark power?

Hi ! Did anyone here try to use the Triaxis through a powersection of a Mark head? I have a IIC, and may be looking to further broaden the oppourtunities for lots of different tones. I will use a TCE G-system to control it. Does it work, and if yes; does it work GOOD? Thanks! ;)

Fantastic! Do you have any experience/input on what 4x12 I should choose for the +, btw? I have a potential deal on a Standard (Supersized) Recto cab. Does it differ that much from a Traditional one..?
