need help troubleshooting MK IV footswitch system

I have an old footswitch that came as an extra with my IV, does the same thing. Never got it repaired, though I should. Mesa is that hard to contact, huh? Seems as though this forum has died down a bunch in the last year or so.

New LOVE for my old Mark IV

On a side note - I recently began using my IV lately instead of a 5150 and I'm back in love. ESPECIALLY now that I have a TS to throw in front!! I hear people say the IV doesn't benefit from a TS, but I disagree. Chunky, saturated, sexy, heaven.

    Mark IV, Slave Out, hum/feedback

Hey guys, haven't posted here in quite some time. Last night I plugged my IV's Slave Out direct into my interface, going into Reaper, and monitoring through a home stereo system. Was going to use some impulses instead of micing her. What I got when I turned either the Slave Out volume or...

New LOVE for my old Mark IV

This volume would be too loud for a jam situation!! Can't understand how it could be useful.....unless attenuated, of course.

PAY TO PLAY?!?! OR NOT TO PLAY?!?!?!!

thanks guys! it was a really fun weekend, to say the least! Yeah. we've got a decent amount of shows coming up for only being like a 5 month old band. most progress I've ever seen come out of a band that I've been in, honestly. Sucks I didnt take the Mark IV to the show....been rocking the...

PAY TO PLAY?!?! OR NOT TO PLAY?!?!?!!

well, I guess they came to their senses and we cancelled the show. We just played The M-Room in Philly last weekend....decent turnout. The old guitarist from Kitty was there announcing the bands. Some indie label guys and whatnot. People seemed to really dig us. Partied hard in the hotel...

PAY TO PLAY?!?! OR NOT TO PLAY?!?!?!!

well, we have demos, a myspace, press kit, all that fun stuff. Promotion is going pretty well. Networking...well, we've only played 2 shows, but we've all been in bands in the same are for the last 10 or so years, so we have quite a few connections already. I'm at the point now where I want...

PAY TO PLAY?!?! OR NOT TO PLAY?!?!?!!

I'm not even quite sure what the venue is. I think it is something kind of big. But is it worth losing all our band fund for not really knowing the turnout? I wouldnt care if it was local and we had a chance of selling 30 tickets to friends that will come out, but no one in their right mind...

PAY TO PLAY?!?! OR NOT TO PLAY?!?!?!!

The band I'm in has been together for about 4 months. We have played 2 shows just recently. Basically, we are just starting out. We have about a half hour set. A few of the members decided it'd be a good idea to get us on a show out of state, 7 hour drive round-trip, where we have to PAY TO...

Using the "Pull Deep" with recording.

hmmm....I find my 5150 to have much less low end than my Mark IV, even when the bass is maxed on the 5150. I understand that a lot of 5150 players max their bass, and lately I've been running it a little higher. A/B both and see which everyone likes best. also, will you be quad tracking...

Mark IV picky about tubes compared to 5150?!?!!?

Ok, so I have a show in 2 days and I havent had the chance to order my new sets of tubes and money has been tight.....so, last night at practice, I did some tube swapping between the IV and 5150, only to find that the IV was really noisy (static-y/white noise) with any combination of tubes I...

ok, retube time for a IV.....what to pick?

my current set of GT's just started making the ringing/feedback/microphonic noise last practice. I realized that they have lasted about 3-4 years in the Mark IV and never had any problems! Anyway, perfect timing, of course - we have our first show coming up this Saturday. I was thinking about...

    edge protectors..?

Ok, this really isnt important, but I've been wondering why most, if not all, Mark series amps have edge protectors on every side EXCEPT the fronts? it just seems odd to me. Is it because the top half of the head shell is angled ?

    Mark IV R2 questions

never played a IVA but my B has plenty of gain in R2. With a boost pedal in front, oh man....R2 can be a metal players main rhythm channel!

Mark V Head... Hard/Uncomfortable to carry???

never carried the V, but carry my IV almost every day. Everyone who picks it up says its soooo heavy for being so small (shortie). I dont find it awkward at all....I just be very gentle with it as I dont have a case and dont want to break anything. my 5150 is like 10 lbs heavier and is big...

    Anyone Using a Boss SD-1 OD w/ a Mark IV on R2?
