MK Series chasis screws and washers

McMaster probably has the screws, but those ferrules/washers might be tough to find.

Mark III Series 300 on eBay (not mine)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130166358882 Well, it used to be mine. I bought it from Daddy's Junky Music's "Rock Auction" in the mid '90s for $400, and sold it on eBay about six years ago (I think I got about $800 for it). Apparently the asking price has gone up! It...

    FS - Vertical 2x12

1993 model, transitional features (steel grille, open top/ported bottom, Taurus vinyl and leather corners). Black Shadows, 4 ohms mono/8 ohms stereo, Track-Lok casters. Good solid shape, lots of little booboos but no big tears or dents, speakers work perfectly. $300 FOB southeast Indiana.

    When did Taurus vinyl debut?

I just bought a vertical 2x12, with an odd combination of features. It's got the metal grille, open top/closed-ported bottom, and "Mesa/Boogie" badge like the '80s cabs, but it's covered in Taurus with the leather corner protectors and has a current "4 ohms mono/8 ohms stereo" jackplate...

    Question for pre-500 RF-1C owners

Does the loop bypass work the way it's supposed to? I believe it does not, and that's why rev C was so short-lived. I'm working on one now, and the loop has been driving me nuts - it's always on. Going by the schematic for the rev F (and my experience with rev D), when the loop is in bypass...

    PSA - cabinet piping

I found a source for the grey and black piping Mesa uses on their current cabs: http://www.garysupholstery.com/weltcord-premade.html The black is identical to Mesa's - I just redid a 4x12 to match a newer one. I *think* the match for the grey is the "charcoal" - the "grey" looks too light to...

    Quad folks...reverb question...

How intense is the reverb? I think in terms of *quality*, it's among the best spring reverb I've ever heard. But on '10' it's about as intense as a Fender combo on '3'. Enough to be a nice enhancement, but not capable of really being an 'effect' like Fenders can be. Is this normal? I kinda...

    "Pre-500" transformers

Why does the 'collective wisdom' state that they used Mark III parts? I can see the OTs being non-simulclass parts (especially with the lack of a 16-ohm tap), but there's no way the power transformers are Mark III parts - no Mark series ever used a tube rectifier.

    Tremoverb channel volume differentials

I just got a TOV head that got smashed in shipping. The head box was totally destroyed (I'm NOT impressed with the shabby construction), but the chassis is fine, for the most part. I'm checking it out to ensure it's OK electrically, and I noticed that the master on the orange channel has to...

    Value of pre-500 Dual Recto?

I have a line on a DR head, serial in the low 400s. Overall good shape, missing the aluminum tube protector bar but otherwise pretty clean. What's the going rate? Thanks!
