I just got a TOV head that got smashed in shipping. The head box was totally destroyed (I'm NOT impressed with the shabby construction), but the chassis is fine, for the most part.
I'm checking it out to ensure it's OK electrically, and I noticed that the master on the orange channel has to be set a lot higher than the red - regardless of voicing mode. The Orange on high gain, with master at noon, is about as loud as the red on high gain with the master at 9:00.
Both channels get to the same volume full-up, so I wonder if this is normal - maybe the taper on the orange master is more gentle?
