Mesa Boogie Mark V:25 noise fan

Hello to everyone :) I have just bought a new mesa Mark V:25 head, and I am loving it :) Juste one thing bothers me a little: the noise coming from the fan. In a quiet enviroment ( my room at night time) I can clearly hear the noise coming from the fan, even at some foots away. I would like to...

    TA-30 combo rumours...

Oh my god. that's not fair :D now I will have to admit to myself that my TA-15 will sound better due to the lack of reverb and FX loop.......but I know that's will not be true.....but it's better for my wallet to think so....:D

Nice discover on Mesa Recto Vertical cab 2x12"

Today just for fun I decide to transform my vertical 2x12" recto cab in an horizontal cab, just by leaning it on its side.....and made then a comparison to a standard horizontal 2x12" recto cab.....well....the vertical one sounds a lot bigger and fuller than the standard horizontal......moreover...

    Cabs, directionality and duct tape

@espexp: thanks for the advice....but at the moment I don't have plexiglass neither a circular saw...but I will give a try to the cardboard suggestion ;) @94Tremoverb: It will be nice to do some numerical simulations to see how the donut affects the sound...since I'm a physicist maybe if I find...

    Cabs, directionality and duct tape

I'm not so happy to put something in front of the cone......I think that somehow this "donut" affect your sound....I've read on gearpage that different users had to turn the treble and volume control up on the amp after they put the donuts.... I think at the end that the best and easy solution...

    Cabs, directionality and duct tape

first, thanks to everyone. you're right, that's my solution when i play at home by myself....but when you're on stage?do you simply angle the cab towards one wall on the stage?

    Cabs, directionality and duct tape

Hi Guys, I'm sorry if this topic has been discussed before, but I've a questions about the too much directionality that guitar cabs have.... Right now I'm playing trough a 2x12" vertical recto cab; I love how it sounds but it's almost impossible to stand right in front of the cones due to the...

More TransAtlantic tones with my band.

great :) can you post your setting for this demo? I think it will be pretty nice if we share our favorite TA settings ;)

I recorded my band with the TransAtlantic.

do you mean EQ'ing directly the TA or EQ'ing trough the mixer (or software) controls? thank you very much

I recorded my band with the TransAtlantic.

Very Good tone....can I ask you how you recored the TA?what microphone did you use?where did you put it? right in the centre of the cone? I'm trying actually to record the TA but I've some difficulties in finding a mic position that sounds good (I use a SHURE SM 57).......

    Mesa TransAtlantic: Extra Gain/Sustain

Hi :) I use an mxr micro amp to boost either channel one and two of the TA-15....I found it very transparent, adding gain and a little of top end, which helps a lot to cut on the mix for solos ;)

New Transatlantic Video - Great Sound Quality

Great video and great review :) actually I found that a guitar with a lot of bottom end suits perfectly the TA....otherwise the TA tends to be a little too bright...but it's not a big deal, since the treble knob is very powerful, and you can lower it down without being afraid to lose definition...

TA-15 Owners. Are you out there???

Hi, since the TA it's not a modern high gain amp, if you want a powerful distorted sound you have to pay some attention...first of all, a guitar equipped with humbucker pickups is a good choice...;) second, you may want to consider the possibility to use a boost/overdrive pedal to add in front...

TA-15 Owners. Are you out there???

Hi :) I own a TA.....purchased some weeks ago...and I think it's absolutely rocks!!! One of the most important thing to me in order to make it sound full, especially on the bass side, is using a good cab. I've a mesa vertical recto 2x12" which gives me a very tight and focused low end.... For...

    Transatlantic owners help :)

Hi, last saturday I went to the same shop here in Italy where I bought my TA. I tried the test model they have, and noticed the SAME issue as mine. I talked to other guys who own a TA, and they noticed the same thing. So I think it's a "feature" of the amp itself.....as said before, to me it's...
