Purple with wicker Mark V 25 mini stack

Here is a IG post showing my new new rig, the bottom cab is a custom recovered purple bronco with wicker grill by GTS, it has an Eminence Legend EM12 and sounds huge, the top is a custom order from Sweetwater with Boogie badge request instead of the standard Mesa one. I am also running it...

    Mk V Head acting up

You might have to take the chassis out to replace some of those hard to reach spots

    Mk V Head acting up

I would change out all the tubes, or go through a process of elimination by tapping the tubes with a pencil eraser, if you hear crackling noise then def change that tube. Most problems are tube related...if then you still have issues you can prob call mesa and they could help you out.

    1x12 or 2x12 recto cab

I was having trouble hearing myself too with my mark V 25 with a theile cab on the floor, wasn't a great speaker in it though, a marshall celestion wolverine. I got a mini rec slant and made a mini stack out of it and it cut through way better. V30's are high sensitivity so they are pretty loud...

    Mark V 45 watts or 90 watts

I have never heard that you need to use different impedance outputs when switching wattage on a mark V. I always thought that you connect an 8 ohm speaker to an 8 ohm output regardless of 45 or 90 watts...but I do know that using the 4 ohm output with an 8 ohm cab is fine, but you will be...

strange speaker off issue with mark V:25

I had a similar issue but was using a fryette power station...but that is using one 4 ohm jack out to the powerstation and then one 4 ohm out to an 8ohm cab then that cab parralell out to another 8 ohm cab.... My thoughts are that maybe it's best to use the 8 ohm jack with one cab when using the...

Recording mark V 25 into Garage Band with DI or headphones.

Tom S4wy4r, Thanks for your reply, Since that post I have gotten an irig interface and used the xlr out, it worked great. I also had to get a headphone amp, Behringer micomon ma400, it's $25 and gets rid of unwanted dist fuzz when using headphones. I think Mesa Boogie should post something about...

mark V 25 at band rehersal with downtuned stoner rock band

My verdict is in, my band is loud as hell so keep that in mind:) I found that without the fryette power station the mark v 25 is maxed in headroom at 12:00 on the mark IV channel, thats all she's got cap'n! For this band it is not enough, but kick in the power station and set the mark v 25...

    Hetfield still using Mark V

I did see a pic a while back of him using a mark v 25 in the studio control room, couldn't make out the settings though

mark V 25 at band rehersal with downtuned stoner rock band

Well now I got the mini recto slant w v30 and it gels nicely with the theile, really full low end and great mids that can cut through in a band situation, haven't jammed yet with the band though...Also got the powerstation 2...it provides that 6L6 low end and headroom for scooped mids with the...

    Extreme channel

Xtreme channel definately has more low end, but I feel it has the low mids that are great for cutting through a loud mix. I turn the bass knob mostly down on this channell , mids 12:00, presence 12-1:00 and treble all the way up at low volumes and about 2:00 at most to avoid microphonics when...

Mark V 25 with headphone amp

I just got a Behringer micromon ma400 headphone amp, $24.00, as per someone's suggestion and it improves the tone when using headphones withe the mark V 25. I have audio technica ath m50x headphones. It cuts out the unwantef distortion fizzle ( was hearing it on clean channels too) because you...

mark V 25 at band rehersal with downtuned stoner rock band

Primal, thanks for your insight, it seems the power at our jam room is pretty dirty so I'll have to deal with that...I am seeing that the hiss is normal for boogies and do not think I have a tube issue...and the squeal also seems like a treble/gain issue, which is fine because I am now getting a...

mark V 25 at band rehersal with downtuned stoner rock band

Thanks Monstercastle, I will try that, seems less noisy here at home, no radio signals or squeal so maybe the power strip I was plugged into or something at the jam room is causing problems, still has a low frequency hiss if I turn it up here at home, I bought it brand new btw at a local dealer.
