Hello RK, Regarding Extreme setting, I find it works fine for tight metal riffing - just lower the first eq band and you´ll be fine if your cab has extensive bass energy - remaining eq bands in classic V shape, gain 2:00, treble 2:00, bass 10:00, mid 10:00, it totally rocks! :D Best, Marcelo

I would check out my AC voltage and confirm it is within a 5% variation of the specified one. Lower values than those required by the amp to work properly may lead to strange behaviours like the ones you described. Best, Marcelo

Thanks Shemham, I already checked and there is no loose wires - I tried with contact cleaner too, but there was no improvement (only the pot´s movement was surprisingly smoother, but that was all). Will order a new pot from Mesa. Best, Marcelo
