hey guys of the Mesa Boogie Board
I have a question about the "mix" control knob on the back of the dual rectifier.
How should i have this set for running a Boss Chorus and a Marshall Reverberator pedal in the loop??
Currently I have the "mix" control set to the 12 noon position which is...
Hey guys and gals of the mesa world
I own a 3 channel dual rec and I was wondering about getting the levels matched between channels.
Is it better to get a nice clean tone for example and then match the dirty channels to that. Or is it better to do it the other way round?
The reason I ask is...
Hi guys
I seem to have had this problem for a while now but have managed a trick to fix it however some advice would be good.
Basically i have 2 pedals runnning through the FX loop of my amp ( Boss Chorus and Marshall Reverberator) and 3 pedals through the front of the amp (ISP decimator...
Ok so i had band practice last nite.
I was using channel 3 on my recto for rhythm and i had it switched over to silicon diodes. I really cranked the mids high about 3 o clock and it helped push my sound through the mix some more also i had the presence at about 11 o clock which was good.
I...

Thanks for all the posts guys. I have band practice tonight so I will try a couple of methods. Higher mids silicon diodes. Only thing I can't change is the tubes lol. But I will look into getting some EL34's and trying those.
Also I have taken my eq pedal out as I didn't like the sound it was...
Thanks for that really useful info that I've been looking for.
Basically I only have the eq slightly boosted on the 100hz up to about 1-2 decibels and the same for the 800 as well. I find too much and it starts to feedback more when letting powerchords ring.
I can post some links to how its...
It's both that I'm boosting. I did read somrwhere that if you dial the bass low on the rec and then use the eq pedal to run it back in to the amp it does lower some of the muddiness that these amps seem to suffer from. I don't know if that is correct ?
Thank for the tips guys.
I have tried the silicon setting but for my taste its too brittle. Also when I'm at a practice environment I have to run through an orange 2x12 cab but at gigs I use my mesa rectifier 2x12 cab.
Also don't get me wrong I have tweaked my sound a lot since playing in...
Hi there
I have been a Mesa Dual Rectifier owner/player for many years but i have always had 1 major problem, being a rhythm guitarist i always find myself being a little lost in the mix when it comes to the band situation.
I have read many ideas on the internet about how to help cut through...
hey there.
I just got my Mesa Dual Rectifier 3 Channel Solo Head the other day and after alot of time fiddiling i can agree with you guys that channel 2 is definately the better channel has so much more grunt and balls and it sounds amazing with the modern setting on! shoulda left out channel 3...
well i tried the NS2 through the FX loop but basically it did F***k All to my feedback problems.
I guess i just gotta live with the humming noise! its not too bad just when i kick in channel2!! lol
hey guys
I have recently brought a NS2 Boss noise suppressor pedal. It works like a charm and kills all feedback plus unwanted noise!!
However on channel 2 i get a really bad humming noise. Its in the background but when the noise suppressor is switched on it makes it a whole lot worse!!
Any...
