ABACUS questions

I know this is mostly for use with the midi matrix and/or a triaxis, but does anyone use it just for controlling an amp's channel switching via midi and rack based fx? I dont know a whole lot about the abacus and was curious about the practicality without a triaxis or if I should look at different midi controllers

Abacus does not offer flexibility of newer MIDI controllers.

You can get a used Ground Control (not the Pro, the first version) for about the same price as an Abacus and IIRC it can do more types of functions.

Abacus can only select a MIDI channel, period.
