Whats your favorite pedal with the Lonestar?

I did the Reeder mod way back when it was all unfolding on this forum and have left it in all these years. It would be a fun sound experiment to try the GEQ approach and see if you could get the same results in a side by side test.

Whats your favorite pedal with the Lonestar?

Thanks for the tips! I have been used this technique in the box when I run guitar through Amplitube but haven't ever tried it with an amp. You mentioned the blanket type tone on Channel 2. Have you tried the Reeder Mod?

    Mesa Rosette

It really is fantastic and I hope you like it as much as I do. The controls are something you need to get used to before you take it out to a gig for the first time but it's nothing someone who is posting on The Boogie Board can't handle, haha. It's best to use subtractive eq with the mids. I...

    Mesa Rosette

Did you end up getting one? I have used the 2x8 for many small to medium outdoor gigs. I started to get a lot of compliments on my tone from other musicians when I switched to this amp. Previously I was using a Fender Acoustasonic SFXII, which is totally a fine acoustic amp but the difference...

Lonestar Classic Effects Loop "Send Level"

You should set the level at 12 and then increase or decrease it to get the same volume level you have without the loop engaged but you probably already decided on that course of action since your post is 10 days old. How do you like the Sonic Stomp with your LSC?

    Fan: on or off?

The only reason they put in the switch to disable the fan was for recording. No reason to turn it off otherwise.

    Foo Fighters & Lone Star

 I was in New Orleans for while and then New York City for the commissioning of the new ship I'm on, USS New York. It was an awesome experience that didn't leave much time for the forums or even playing much guitar. I'm ready to get back to normal now.

    Foo Fighters & Lone Star

Robert Randolph is using an LSC in the second Clapton guitar festival DVD. The one that was filmed in Chicago. I haven't watched in a while but I'm pretty sure there was another LSC later on the DVD but I can't remember the band right now. (haven't been around here in a while, and it feels...

Question: Delay pedal for LSS and LSC

I just meant boring in the sense that it's so popular and well known to be a quality delay. Plan-x, the other guitar in my band uses a Carbon Copy and it is definitely something to lust over.

Question: Delay pedal for LSS and LSC

This is probably a boring answer, but I get awesome delays from a Line6 DL4. The analog delay patches don't sound as sweet as a Carbon Copy when side by side, but the amount of quality delays on that pedal makes it well worth the slight compromise to me. True bypass is also nice, since I only...

    Marshall sounding pedal

Another recommendation for the Brownie. The other guitar player in my band uses one all the time and it gets that huge Marshall crunch tone with a lot of character.

    Fender Tilt Back Legs

I think that most people who want to do something like that just take the back casters off.

Let's see your "Pig rig" pics (Lonestars)

Speaking of, has anyone ever seen a yellow Lonestar? That would be hideously awesome. Some time next year I would like to get a red Mk V head with 1 blue and 1 white cab. I'm gonna name it Capt. America, obviously.

Lonestar Extension Cabs... what's the consensous?

It's worked out great for me. Really cleared up the tone. I use a 2x12 Recto cab.

    ATTN: Barber Tone Press Owners

It also knocks down the volume of a loud note.

    ATTN: Barber Tone Press Owners

Did you buy it new or used? The reason I'm asking is because a previous owner might have changed the internal pot. To get the most open sound it should be turned fully clockwise. As you turn it counter-clockwise the tone gets more squashed and dark sounding.
