What I don't understand is how you guys plan to remove the 130-140 degree tube with your bare hands in two minutes. How can you change tubes in enough time to make it a 'backup' situation? I'd bring another amp. Or a preamp to go straight to the board with, at least.
 
A mechanic's glove works good for handling a hot tube.
 
Looks like Bob at Eurotubes uses welder's gloves... :shock:
 
Today, I used a wash cloth while running a bunch of tubes through my tube tester.
 
Yeah, I was wearing my Carhardt extreme weather gear too...
 
I tried that already but it made the tubes too bright and "squeaky"?
