    HELP!!!Triaxis effects loop reference level???

-10 or +4 is a setting for an unbalanced or balanced signal, -10 being unbalanced, and +4 being balanced. guitar signal is unbalanced so you use -10 :)

    midi mate with tri axis...

yea you need a 7-pin midi cable, if you arent already using one. also make sure that the adapter is the right polarity, voltage, ampage etc

    Ground Control to major...

actually, you dont need the gcx to do what you are asking. the gforce can respond to the instant access buttons without the gcx. i have mine set up the same way. the bottom 4 buttons for channel switching, and the top 8 for the "loops", which i have the gforce set to turn on or off particular...

    Ground Control to major...

if you use a controller, you will have to use a rack effects unit for it to plug into. were you thinking of buying a unit along with a controller? also, did you want to use the controller to turn on and off effects?

    g-force question

together with a midi-capable preamp and a footswitch, it is god!!!! :P i have mine set up with the effect buttons, so i can turn off and on individual effects. it is a very good unit. you can have it set up as complicated as you need, or as simple :P. the possibilities with the effects is...

    My Rack Weight

but theres nothing like having your effects all set up, with the parameters and effects chain, then with the push of a button, completely change the effects chain with a whole new set of parameters :P with midi, there are many possibilities. i only recently really started utilizzing the midi to...

    Triaxis USA price

to avoid duty, in australia you just get the person shipping it to put a lower cost on the box. you still pay them the actual amount, just list a lower one. if it goes over $1000, or close to it, australian customs puts a tax on it. sux, but its the only way to get around it. i dont know about...

    Triaxis "program" window

basically, when you push the buttons on your foot controller, you are calling up programs. there are 128 of them. some manfacturers use 0-127, and some use 1-128. with the triaxis, you assign presets to those programs. this is so you can have the same preset assigned to multiple programs without...

Some harsh criticism to Mesa Boogie

i totally agree with what you are saying, but the reality of things is: soundclips are very limited in showing what an amp can do. you have many tone controls to fiddle with, and (on some amps) switches as well to completely change the sound of the amp. dont forget, some mesa amps are very...

    2:90 hum on channel b

its most likely a tube then, as there really isnt anything complicated inside a 2:90, especially if its channel-specific. find out which tubes belong to which channel, and swap them around, then see if the hum is coming from channel A. if that happens, youve found the problem

    2:90 hum on channel b

is it there even with the standby on?

    Would you sell a 2:90 to get a 2:100?

^^^^^ well that whole "marshall and mesa poweramp in one" statement is not quite true. yes, you will get two different sounds from the poweramp, but you are still using a rectifier poweramp. he plays punk, so he does not require the tight tracking a 2:90 poweramp can offer. since you already...

    triaxis:what the heck..?

yea check if it happens only on a particular group of modes ie rhythm, lead 1, lead 2, as lead 1 and lead 2 each have independent valves, do they not? also check your FX loop, turn it on and off, as that uses a valve too (i think)

    Guitar Vs Amp...

i wont say exact figures, cos that is stupid as its taking a wild guess, but the basis of your tone is from your amp + your playing style. when you think about it, the way you play affects your tone as well. IMO, i have an ESP M2, and a KH-2, almost identical guitars, with a few differences...
