Thanks, I should aim for a 500 Watts then.

    50/50 fron 220V to 110V

BTW,does anybody know the input energy needed for the 50/50? I do understand the output is 2x50 watts, but I didn't see for sure how much input the amp needs? I bought a 200 Watts voltage converter but I'm afraid to use it with the JMP1 and the 50/50. Don't want to fry anything.

    50/50 fron 220V to 110V

Thanks for the answer. :) My daydreaming is over  : I was hoping for an easy lead as the 20/20 mod, but after having opened the rack I wasn't believing it anyway. I'll look for a technician in Montreal now to have an estimate (I was also planning to mod a Marshall JMP1 which is easier)...

    50/50 fron 220V to 110V

Hello, I moved from Europe to Canada (Montreal) and took my 220V 50/50 with me. Does anyone know if it's possible to mod the 50/50 so it could work on 110V without an external transformer? I opened it in hope I could see some feature like in the 20/20 but it wasn't conclusive. If anyone also...

Safe to play straight into poweramp?

I quite like playing like that when I don't need OD. I agree with you, Hames. I like the direct to the amp clean sound. At least it's more lively et dynamic than through my JMP1. Weren't preamps designed to allow crunch and distortion at lower volumes than cranked amps?

    117 to 230 volts in a mesa boogie 20/20

Hi, I don't want to hijack this thread, but my concern is quite similar except I've just moved from France to Canada. So as you may be guessing I'd like to transform a 220V Mesa Fifty/Fifty into a 110V. Do you know if it's possible? If so could anyone recommend me a good technician in Montreal...

    TAD tubes?

Those? http://www.tubetown.de/ttstore/product_info.php/info/p1640_TT-6L6-GC-STR.html Hmm... Price attractive But how doest it compare sound quality wise? BTW, I'm in France and was planning to buy TAD from Thomann as I have to order some other little things, and thus save on shipping. :?

    TAD tubes?

Thanks. I've just asked TAD for some advice. I'm about to buy their 6L6GC-STR RCA-Style black-plate PREMIUM Matched Quartet and those 12AX7. I may hesitate with their Svetlana issued 6L6, but they are quite more expensive. :?

    TAD tubes?

Up ;) Hi I'm interested in buying a quartet of 6L6GC from them. Are they able to sell me the correct biased tubes for my old Fifty/Fifty power amp? What shoutd I tell them? :? I'm getting quite afraid about the necessity to adjust bias despite the official Mesa discourse. :( I may ask...
