    Mark III Black Dot

Yep it's a 105 Tranny and built on 07/85. Guess at $650 it is a poor man's III and/or IIC+ alternative. It definitely sounds great...Stoked!

    Mark III Black Dot

Picked this beast up last week... Has the IIC+ faceplate (Volume 1, reworked Rhythm 2 stencils) and what looks like the 105 Tranny. Reverb, Presence, EQ and the Eminence MS-12 150W Speaker. Came with Blue and Green STR 415s Sylvania 6L6s.

I put an old EV in my studio 22 and love it...!

    4x12 EVM Loaded Cabinet

I have a JCM 800 I wired in stereo with 2 of the G12-65 on top and EVs in the bottom. 3 tone option and monster sounding with both and the T-Verb pumping that jam.

    F-100 Blues Sound

I agree that the F100 can spit a nasty growl, I've been playing one I just picked up. I'm running it through greenbacks which do help alot. Just swapping between a strat and an LP I was able to dial in some great blues tones. The clean is a really great starting point and can cover alot of...

    Studio .22+ or Express 5:25?

Sorry...my typo... G12-65 and it had a nice crunchy vintage rock type tone compared to the clear and punchy EV.

    Studio .22+ or Express 5:25?

My 22 sounded great out of the box. I put in a Celestion G12H-65 and it was much better...in headroom and general tone. Then I tried an EVM12L and it has been in there since...even more headroom and less speaker colour.

New guy here with a studio .22+

I assume you were using the footswitch and was on the high gain channel?

    Studio .22 w. Graphic EQ - Questions...

What are you talking about? I'll try and clarify fur ya...the single volume does not allow much level control between the clean and overdrive when switching channels... I never said it doesn't work for live situations...just ask Kurt...He'll tell you I said so.

    Studio .22 w. Graphic EQ - Questions...

One thing to remember is that it is in fact a Studio 22, so the channel switching was not inherently designed for live use. It obviously can be used live but has some shortcomings. This said, the delay you speak of is not something I've seen in my 22. Great little amp nonetheless!

    I got me a Studio 22+!!!

I love my 22...a great versatile amp!!! The stock speaker is not bad but at live volumes, it lacked warmth and overhead. I just recently slapped an old Celestion G12-65 and it made a huge difference. Mine started making funny crackling sounds when I play lower notes on the clean channel. It...

    Your pickup preference with Rectifiers?

I like a pearly gates in my LP custom and the full shred in my nightswan

Greenbacks with a Rectifier? Other speakers?

I use a couple of EVMs I added to the bottom of this Marshall along with a pair of the original G12-65s... This setup is pretty versatile so any style goes here. The spectrum is very complimentary...the EVs just open things up and together they bring alot of colour.
