    Roadster cleans...

What do you have the treble control set at, also, what is your channel volume and master volume at. Have you tried diode mode on the clean channel? I forgot to answer your PM question, yes I am using the noise gate on the Gmajor for the dirty channels.

    Roadster cleans...

Are you running the standard Mesa powertubes...also, have you tried switching to diode mode on the clean channel rather than tube rectification. I had the same problem, but I had put some JJ 6L6 powertubes in, and they may have been on the hot side...I put the factory tubes back in, switched to...

which one for me: mark IV or roadster?

I play a Roadster head currently, and also bought a JVM410 head...I really liked the amp, but found the noise and sqealing to be virtually uncontrollable in a band rehearsal setting...and this was with a GMajor gate in the loop and a decimator in front...if Marshall sorts that out though, it is...

    Rectifiers and noise gates

My Mesas have been the quietest and least prone to squeeling, than any of the other high gain amps I have owned or currently own...and I've been through a lot of amps over the last 3 years or so. I always end up coming back to Mesa, partially for that very reason.

Looks like they are using Channel 3 in vintage mode...

    Roadster Issue

I've had several 3 channel dual and triple rectos, and still have a Triple and a new Roadster head...they have all popped when first powering up, pretty loud, then after cycling through it is only a minor clicking noise...which is not noticable at rehearsal or gig volume levels, only a bedroom...

    triple rec or roadster?

I've got both amps, and actually ordered and purchased the Roadster before I ever played it...primarily because of all of the talk of the great clean channel. I thought the Roadster was going to be my perfect amp, but I am rather dissapointed with the cleans...clean and fat mode break up too...

Roadster owners -- important service information

Actually, my local dealer whom I just purchased a Roadster from, emailed it to me, because I had called him about mine due to the posting on the Mesa site...but I did see it posted on HC too!

Using Midi contoller for your recto?

I use an Amp Gizmo to control my Roadster head, along with a Gmajor for effects, all switched via midi. The nice thing is that you can use a custom cable that plugs into the footswitch jack on the amp, so you don't have to run a bunch of TRS cables. The Gizmo does not do loop switching if you...

Recto users! Silicone Diodes or Vacuum Tubes

This issue has been resolved in several other threads...the amp can use the tube rectifiers in 100 watt mode...

Roadster owners -- important service information

For MESA BOOGIE Roadster Amplifiers - Serial Numbers VR-00001 through VR-00669 Attached is a Service Advisory from Randall Smith for the Roadster Series of amplifiers only. This is a VERY simple update for the Roadster. The purpose of this update is to insure a proper voltage balance in the...

Roadster owners -- important service information

Mine got delayed by about a week and a half...my understanding is that they had to go through all of the Roadsters they had assembled in stock to implement the update...so if yours is coming from Mesa, it shoud be addressed.

Roadster owners -- important service information

I heard this too, as mine was delayed in shipping out from Boogie do to a tech fix...I just got mine Tuesday and it was supposed to arrive a week and a half earlier.

    Roadster "Recto-Tracking" Delimma

I am pretty sure it works as I described above...it would not make sense otherwise...both in terms of desired features and the fact that it has 2 rectifier tubes...rectifier tracking simply tracks the wattage and number of rectifier tubes used...it does not switch between silicone diode and tube...

    Roadster "Recto-Tracking" Delimma

No problem, I just picked up a Roadster head myself, and I'm loving it so far!
