Ater 3 years use (I am sure I can hear my sound distorting) and reading posts here that JJ EL84's should give a bit more headroom and upper mids.

The market in Australia for valves is not deep. I can't go to a shop and buy some valves it appears that I have to buy off ebay? To do it through and Amp technician is a 2 to 3 week no amp situation and if they are anything like car mechanics, who knows what state my amp will come back in or what bull dust they will spin me about I need to fix this and that on my amp.
Anyone in Australia have some tips on purchasing valves - where from, what is this burn in business, can I just put them in, is it like changing a light globe?
