Do all Mesa Mark II and III’s have the MB initials?

I’m looking at buying a Mesa Mark that shows mark III in every way but doesn’t have any stripe or initials the MB from Mike I’m used to seeing. Did he sign all of them or are there some without it?

Every once in a while he has to hit the head.
JK- not all of them. Look under the chassis for another place it could be initialled by someone with a date. If it is a serial # 15xxx, earlier particularly it is a no stripe/black stripe and may have a dot, line or x.
