Mesa High Gain Amp Switcher

Post by MesaMad1378 » Thu Dec 29, 2016 2:50 pm

I have just bought a Mesa HGAS and was wondering if anybody knows what the voltage supply is?
Mesa Dual Rectifier, TriAxis, Recto Recording,
2:90, 2:100, SUS-4 16ru Case,
Flux Five, Throttle Box EQ, 5 Band EQ,
Straight Traditional 4x12 Cabs.
And other stuff!!

It should say on the back.

However - I am in Europe - bought one with US voltage and there was no trouble changing the voltage inside the HGAS.
You need to change a resistor and move a couple of jumpers inside the unit but it is well marked.

Let me know if you need the specifics - I communicated with Mesa Boogie about this - and my HGAS works as it should.

Thanks

Thanks for that, as you sent this I found out how to do it.
Remove the 2 110v jumpers, put in the 230v jumper and swap the 110v MOV with a 230-240v MOV.

Yup - that is right.
I found the MOV´s at Mousers BTW - if you have a hard time finding them at home :)

Cheers for that, I bought 20 or so when I converted my 2:90 to 230v. Pretty easy to do really, took longer to get the cover off and on than to actually do it.
