My DC-5 stock C90 sounded pretty good, but I have these 16 ohm Mesa Vintage 30's
that I've had for 15+ years.. I checked with the powers that be at Mesa before swapping to the V30.
It's a difference that works better for my set up..
I also run a 1x12 with a V128 1/2 of the time.
Bottom line, the 16 ohm V30 goes into the 8ohm out.
The Eminence V128 goes to the 4 ohm out.
A Vintage 30 in a DC-5 combo is fantastic....
It delivers a fuller warmer sound.. The old Mesa V30's are the king of all speakers..
I don't know if this is a cross over reference for all amps.
Thank you Mesa Boogie for making near bullet proof amps!!
Someone will always find a way to blow something up....
