I was playing my MK IV and put my feet up on it for a rest and when i did i thump on the top of the amp and suddenley my tone completly changed and it gave me lots more of bass out of my cabinet and more ballz. Then i hit the top again to see what happend and it went back to what it was before less bass. Idk what happend if somebody knows what it might have been that would be great. But I also noticed when I turn my bass all the way up on my amp it doesnt put any thump or anything it just kindof gets fuzzy

maybe you have a cracked solder joint somewhere. take it to a tech or if youre good at that stuff just take it apart and do some searching. if youre in the chicago area i could take a look at it for you

+1

I'd suspect one of the big power tubes. Experienced quite the same problem with a Peavey C30, it turned out being one of the 4 EL84 bottles solder joint gone intermittent.
