Which tubes?

Hi, I'm new to the board I recently bought a 2008 roadster love the amp!Anyway I dont know how much use the tubes have had and thought of swapping them out I was wondering who would be good to go through and is there a better tube than the stock tubes.Any advice would be great thanks,

TAD 6l6's sound fantastic in mine. Also try a Tung-Sol RI 12ax7 in V1.

+1 for Tung Sol reissues in V1...this worked awesome in my Soldano also. I use a Sylvania NOS tube in V2, but have used an assortment there from the Sylvania to EH to NOS GE's and RCA's, and JJECC83's in the remaining sockets. I don't like the JJ's in V1 or V2 though because they are too muddy in those postions IMO. As for power tubes, I like JJ's and SED's.

I have Tung-Sol in both V1 and V2, a Penta Labs in V3, unbranded Shuguang 12AX7-B's in V4 & V5 and a Sovtek 12AX7-LPS. This combo sounds great.

Hey thanks for all the info who should I go through to buy the tubes my other amps I've always used sovtek or jj and those were pretty easy to find I've heard alot of good things about the tung sol I just havent seen them in any shops around here so if I have to order them that's fine Id just like get a link or web address to get some any help would be great thanks.

Just buy tubes from tubedepot.com

If your buying power tubes let them know what amp your putting them in and they will send you tubes that are in Mesa specs.

My recomendation is to throw in some good chinese EL34s. Im lovin the Ruby EL34HBT right now in my Tverb. Fr preamp tubes, Id start with dougs tone kit and go from there
