Hi
New to the forum.
Just got a Mesa Dual Rectifier Roadster. Having ton of fun, so many options to play with.
Question about changing tubes. Can I put any EL34's in it or do you have to use Mesa Tubes.
I have a Marshall DSL100 and was wondering if I could just pull them out of my Marshall and put them in the Roadster to see the difference in tone? Would this hurt the tubes or the amp? I didn't know if Mesa amps are only biased to Mesa tubes.
Thanks

You can, but dont forget to switch to EL34 on the rear panel.
You have to buy match paires, ask advice to the forum (there's many topics here about tubes) or the tube dealer to what tone you want to achieve, dirtys, cleans and response of the amp (this include the pre-amp tubes too, of course). You can email or call Eurotubes and ask Bob for advice. You (tech) can also make a bias modding so you can set the bias current yourself...or someone that know what is doing (if you dont, of course).
