Where did you get a different faceplate?halfnote said:it is not so much that i didn,t like it, but the stiletto is a popular amp and every one i see has that faceplate;
i like to stay a couple miles left of the herd

it is really easy the metal grill is still there i just buried it, i like the vintage look better. the croc was glued on but came off pretty easily in one piece. i had to touch the face plate off with a sander just to get the glue residue off.in my first attempt i kept the metal

i used staples on the back to hold it on,it did not come out as tight as i would have liked because of the cutting involved around the metal grill (probably would have been better had i used glue)
so during try 2 i realized i could take the mesa badge off of the grill this made the project alot easier(also gave me the look i perfer) i also used a hobby contact cement i got at the depot in a spray can which gives it a much tighter apearance)
there is a pro grade product that probably holds better but i used staples on the back side and i may want to change it again when i upgrade to a 4 12
the best place i know of to get grill cloths is mojotone
