sovtek 12AX7 WB's

Are these Sovtek 12AX7 wb's any good for my Mesa pre amps or would the tong sol 12AX7s be better.. I have a mesa studio and quad..

They're ok but the Electro Harmonix is better, as is the Tung Sol reissue which are virtually identical (both Sovtek tubes) The Russian 2's in my MKIV are a mixture of these two tubes !!

I'm using Mullard el34's and tung sol 6L6str in my 295's, my question is, are these great tubes or am I just paying for old names on reissued tubes.. they sound a lot better than the old wore out mesa tubes but I don't have anything else to compare them too.
