Ah, ok. With this logic ’Single rectifier’ should be called just ’single’ or ’No rectifier’. I would say ’single’ because ’no rectifier’ implies that it runs on either battery or AC. This is propably why it was removed from the lineup, it just does not fit to the naming scheme. Sad really, single is better than people give it credit for.
Well actually they should have called the Triple Rectifier the Quadruple rectifier! And the Dual Rectifier the Triple rectifier.

Jeez, give it a rest. Are you going to go after Fender next, claiming that the "Deluxe Reverb" is not really "Deluxe"?

Never thought of that, but you’re absolutely right. Deluxe Reverb should not be called Deluxe, there’s nothing luxurious about it. Ordinary Reverb at best.

Single Rectos and ROV are some of my favorites. Tonal haven when boosted. Speaking as a Dual Rev. G owner.
Ditto, and they're an incredible bargain on the used market. Best death metal amp ever. Also, they give up the goods at a totally reasonable rehearsal volume.

In France they call it a "Royale with reverb."
