so I've been after a mark III or IV, but now I got a deal that might be interesting. I got offered a studio preamp. which from what I understand is close to the preamp of a mark III. I will be trading with an empty 2x12 port city cab, I just wanna move to a 1x12 since I've been using the 2x12 with only one speaker and I am happy with the sound. I plan on a widebody 1x12 to avoid the boxy sound.
1.to which stripe would it be closer? or how does it differ from the mark III and IV? I know this might be hard to answer
2.I don't have nor plan to buy a power section, I'd like to use either my JMP or Tremoverb. is that possible? will it be better or worse sounding
