Rack Rider Custom Amplifier!

Asking $2300 for the unit, but willing to sell components separately if needed.

Mesa Simul 395 ($1300)
Mesa Triaxis ($950)
Lexicon MPX 200 Dual Channel Processor/Digital Compressor ($100)
Rane ME 15 Graphic Equalizer ($100)
Korg DTR-1000 Tuner ($70)

This thing is a filthy beast. I've been using it for years, never had any problems. The tubes still have a lot of life left in them as well. I'm choosing to downsize my rig and simplify my sound, so this guy needs a good home.

Mesa Boogie Simul 395 Stereo:

Handmade in California, Late 80's or early 90's.

• SIMUL CLASS™ POWER.
• 95 WATTS PER CHANNEL: 4 X 6L6 PER CHANNEL.
• 2 "LEVEL", 2 "PRESENCE" CONTROLS PER CHANNEL.
• "DEEP EXTEND/NORMAL" VOICING SWITCH PER CHANNEL.
• "HALF DRIVE/FULL POWER VOICING/POWER REDUCTION" SWITCH PER CHANNEL.
• INDIVIDUAL "STANDBY" SWITCH FOR EACH CHANNEL.
• ACTIVE COOLING FROM 2 FANS.
• COLOR CODED POWER INDICATING LEDS FOR EACH CHANNEL.
• SIMUL-CLASS/CLASS A SWITCH (OPERATES WITH SWITCHING LOGIC).
• PARALLELED 1/4" INPUT FOR "MONO" OPERATION.
• "SWITCHTRACK" LOGIC PORT (1/4" JACK).
• (2) 8ohm and (2) 4ohm SPEAKER OUTPUTS PER CHANNEL.
• 3 RACK SPACES

There are two fully programmable channels; the left and right side can be programmed separately. It has two completely separate power amps, one for the left and one for the right side. Each side has two channels, which you can program by using the full/half power, normal/deep extend, Class A/Simul Class (Class A + Class A/B), volume and presence switches and knobs.

Mesa Boogie Triaxis All Tube Preamplifier:

Inside, it's all tubes -- five 12ax7s, and on the outside, controls for your volume, gain, EQ, and other tonal adjustments are easily controlled.

The 1U high (single space) preamp has eight modes, and the guitar audio signal follows different circuit paths internally as the Triaxis delivers a range of tones taken from a few different classic Mesa/Boogie preamplifier designs. Colored LEDs on the face identify which preamp mode is in use (as described by Mesa/Boogie):

Rhythm Green: Mark I, vintage fat rhythm
Rhythm Yellow: Mark IV, modern hyper-clean rhythm
Lead 1 Green: Vintage Mark I Lead
Lead 1 Yellow: Mark I Gain Boost Lead
Lead 1 Red: British Lead/Dual Rectifier Vintage Channel
Lead 2 Green: Mid Gain Mark IV Lead
Lead 2 Yellow: Classic Boogie Lead (Mark IIC+/Mark IV)
Lead 2 Red: Searing Mark III Lead

Controls on the front panel let you select your sounds and dial them in: Gain, Treble, Middle, Bass, Lead 1 Drive, Lead 2 Drive, Master, Presence, and Dynamic Voice are adjusted with Up/Down buttons. A master volume output is controlled via knobs at the far right of the panel.

Lexicon MPX 200, 24-Bit Dual Channel Processor w/Digital Compressor & Digital I/O:

15 Algorithms: 5 Stereo and 10 Dual Reverb. 450 Preset programs; 100 User. Dynamic effects for 2-channel or surround applications. It features a front panel adjust knob that can be used for selecting, editing, and cuing programs.

Rane ME 15 Graphic Equalizer:

It is dual 2/3 octave and has two 15 band EQs for stereo, main/monitor, or two independent signal sources. Overall level control, passive bypass switch, 20 mm filter slide controls.

12-note equal tempered
Accurate to ±1 cent
