Mark V 90 16ohm cab

So I have a question for the group. I recently got a Mark V 90 head. Now I usually run 2 Orange 212 16ohm each which is not a problem for the Mark since I will go out of the 8ohm power section. I only use one 212 when I practice with the bands I play in, just makes it easier to lug everything around. I seem to be losing low end and that bounce that Mesa does so well when I am use one cab, when both cabs are used it absolutely amazing. Any tips or advice would help.
I also have a 2001 DR when I have not had this problem because there is a 16ohm output on the Rec. I love that Mark V it’s just crazy good on what it does.
