G'Day,
I'm trying to get some Solico neon pilot lights for my Boogie mark I, IIA and IIB amps..and have spares also..
Mesa and the Aussie distributor have no stock, Solico don't sell direct. Digi-Key and Antique Electronic Supply don't stock. Am about to email Small Bear, and am awaiting replies from many of Solico's distributors, but I don't expect any of them will want to deal OS and on a small order basis..
Would anyone have any contacts who might be able to get some of these lights?
I'm happy to do a bulk buy, and the Solico part number is:
1850-1-12-21620.
direct email reply would be great if U can help of have any ideas:
[email protected]

Thx heaps, David

If these are the same orange ones like in a Studio 22+, you may can locate them from an electronics house like Newark; probably newark.com??? I would swear that's where mine came from and it was a perfect match. The were really inexpensive too...maybe 4-5.00 each?...something along those lines.

Good luck...

Thx guys,
Bob at Surplus Sales Nebraska and Small Bear electronics are on the case.
Fingers crossed.
Waiting to hear from the big distributors - but I suspect they'll do the " we only want to sell "xyz" volume, etc etc - company policies stuff..
(Tried Farnell, Newark, RS Spares, Digi-Key, Antique Tubes, and heaps of the Ebay surpus stores..)
But if I get any, I'll get a few so others can restore their vintage pride and joys too.

Folks, I finally got the amber and blue pilot lights, with a ton of help from Dave P. Kudos DP..

They are direct from Solico (via distributor)..
(Nebraska and Small Bear didn't turn out..as with all the other leads I tried... lucky email is free as I sent a gazillion emails around the globe...LOL)

They are 100% correct for ALL mark I,II,III and possibly IV.

I've got quite a few of each and will never use them all, so if U want one to replace or more recommended as a spare, drop me an email
[email protected]

I've also discovered that at times the MkIIA used a DIFFERENT pilot light - Solico again, but no chrome bezel and larger lens to compensate for no bezel to hold it outside the chassis.
This light may have come on other series, but I've only seen it on the MkIIA.

And guess what... I've got some of these (by mistake, but I got 'em...LOL)

Dave
