i think they will sound slippery and well lubed
did you mean KT77? now they are fantastic in any recto imo

I had them, they were alright, until one of the tubes blew after 2 weeks and blew my grid resistor. So i took my Recto into the shop and the guy replaced the resistor and he said i should try the EL34's. I was a bit skeptical about this, because i always had this thought EL34's sounded lifeless and too "brittish". I was so wrong, the EL34's are perfect in a single recto, theres still that bottom end and it's very tight sounding. The cleans are not as good as the 6l6's but they get by. The KT77's were like a mix of 6l6 and el34, but not as tight as the el34's. If you put in el34's it wont by any means turn into a marshall, it will still have that aggressive mesa sound but with a some what tighter bottom and and more focused mids.
