It's been a few months now that I've been without a Mesa amp. I had a lousy experience with a Mark V that put a bit of a damper on them for me. I'd like to think about getting another at some point, and I figure something like this might provide some inspiration. So, if you could post up some clips or links of your favorite Boogie tones, I'd love to hear them!

Thanks for any responses!

What kind of Mesa/Boogie is being used in that Dream Theater clip? Is it a Mark? I always like the sound of Marks recorded. Yet I haven't had much luck dialing in a sound from them myself. Maybe it's because I've only ever tried the combo. Maybe I'd like it better in a head / closed-back half stack format.

This one is my favorite.

Theres no doubt that the rectifiers can do some brutal distortion tone. But some people think thats all they can do, some people dont even use the other channels for years, which I find to be just a bit insane. Good to see someone doing a bit more with the amp than your standard metal and djenting.

Yeah I have seen this one before, I like it too.

They are all pretty short, the Mark V video shows the tone with no backing track halfway thru, they are pretty badass.

I'm a Mark V head owner :)

This is probably my favorite Recto clip on YouTube. This is what a properly dialed in 3 channel Recto can sound like.........with a Maxon OD808 of course haha.

Funny, he uses channel two with the presense almost maxed and the treble at 3 and the base at 9, a little too much treble for me, but the bass still sounds good even that low.
