    Heavy Stiletto Clip

I was messing around with mic positioning today and made a bunch of short clips. Here's one of them: http://www.itwontburn.com/Stiletto_Heavy_Test1NOFX.mp3 I was surprised at how much difference mic placement really makes. I need to learn more about it! There is a fuzzy overtone in the clip...

    Stiletto - adjustable bias?

Anybody have their Stiletto modded for an adjustable bias? What do you think of it? I'm considering having it done.

    anybody measured stiletto bias?

I haven't but I wish Boogie and every other amp manufacturer would just follow suit with external bias points on their amplifiers. My Allen Accomplice has this (similar to Komet amps) and it's one of my favorite features on the amp. It only takes a couple of minutes to swap out tubes and bias...

Mesa Boogie F-50 head for sale $650

Well... it's up on the chopping block again. Other than a few small (barely noticable) scuffs on the leather corner protectors the amp is in mint condition. I'm looking to sell the amp locally in San Francisco and if I decide otherwise I will update this post. Here's a review of the amp...

    Stiletto w/ Yellow Jackets

Anybody try this yet? I'm assuming this would be safe to try with this amp. Also, does anybody know which pair of tubes is getting used in 50 watt mode with the Deuce?

The best thing to come out of NAMM

Imho this is the best thing to come out of NAMM. It allows you to record up to 8 SEPARATE tracks to your computer via usb 2.0 for 300 bucks. Nice! http://www.alesis.com/product.php?id=107

    Mesa Boogie F-50 Head

Well it's time to thin the herd a little. This is a great amp but unfortunately it just isn't getting used and I hate to have good gear sitting around unplayed. *I'm only looking to sell locally, in the SF bay area* It's on Craigslist but I figured I'd put it up here as well... just in...

Mesa Boogie Factory Tour (pics inside)

Well since we are only a hop, skip and a jump away from Petaluma we went up there for the Mesa Boogie factory tour for my birthday on Monday. It was pretty short... but it was pretty awesome to see all of those amplifiers and cabinets being made. I certainly wasn't expecting a small boutique...

    blackheart amps

Looks like a cool little tube amp. They seem to openly support modding it as well. What I'm wondering is how the hell did they put this thing together for 150 bucks? There is almost no reason not to pick one up and try it out.

So I'll be getting this in kit form sometime next week: http://www.allenamps.com/accomplice.php I should receive the chassis/tubes/electronics etc sometime next week and I'm supposed to get the cabinet, which I custom ordered with cream tolex, cream knobs, cinnamon grill cloth and leather...

    Stiletto and JCM 800

So I finally got all of my stuff into a permanent rehearsal spot last night (yeah!) and I got to A/B my 800 vs my Deuce with the same cab, guitar etc and I've gotta say the Deuce is pretty much spot on in terms of tone in crunch mode on channel 2. I'll have to make some sound clips when I get...

    RUSS - JCM800 info

I'd bet Russ can help me out with this one but if anybody else can chime in please do so. So I have a 50 watt JCM 800 single channel amp from 1990. Know anything about these amps? I know the 100 watters went through some negative circuit changes in the late 80's but from what I've read the 50...

    Hellgate: London

I've been posting for a while here now so I figured I'd give everybody the heads up about what I've been working on for the last 2.5 years: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/hellgatelondon/index.html# I did background art and level design for it - we are releasing it at the end of October...

    Stiletto Deuce - Pickup recommendation

Can anybody recommend a good bridge pickup for a Les Paul that will work well with a Stage 1 Deuce? I play mostly blues, rock, funk and some metal (more Sabbath type of stuff not nu metal/prog etc). I've been looking into the Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates but I've read quite a few reviews that...
