Amp to rack case cable cluster or snake?

Hi all, I'm switching up my rig a bit, going from a massive box that housed my Dual Rectifier and 6 spaces of rack components, down to a live-in case for the head and separate 6 space rack box. Moving everything will be much easier with the 2 smaller boxes, but I'll have to connect everything...

There Was Madness!!!! @ Scout Bar, Houston TX July 31

Hey, I'll be heating up the Rectifier tubes this Wednesday at Scout Bar in Houston TX with my progressive metal band, There Was Madness: https://www.facebook.com/ThereWasMadness Here's a video promo we put together this afternoon for the show  http://youtu.be/2TEV2JurEoA

    Post removed.

I've fought a lot with the few mics that I have: SM57, e609, and even my cheap MXL 990 (which I've been VERY happy with for vocal recording). If I could get a very well isolated room for the cab, I would use the 990... it really captures the sound of the cab, but it captures all of the wall...

    Finished building my rig =)

I just wanted to show off my rig... I finally got the last piece of gear in the rack (the Korg tuner) so it's all done!!! I put a red LED strip along the top of the Recto that gives the diamond-plate a bit of a sinister glow on stage  Thanks to everyone here for all the information...

Is 2010 Multi-Watt Dual Rectifier loop actually serial?

roger that... well at least I don't gig or record at bedroom volume  I'll just have to find a way to set up the GSP1101 to control the volume BEFORE its FX loop to mitigate that bleed at zero volume. mustbebeta v64 to the rescue, anyone???

Is 2010 Multi-Watt Dual Rectifier loop actually serial?

Yeah, so it's not a problem for my tone if I have the amp up at a decent volume. If I A/B the sound with and without the loop engaged it's indiscernible at normal volume. But if it's at "bedroom" volume, it sounds like *** because of the bloody phased signal bleed from the FX loop. The real...

erp... I think you should read my original post =P

Is 2010 Multi-Watt Dual Rectifier loop actually serial?

So... what might my options be? I could abandon the 4CM and plug straight into the amp input... I'll have to test to see how good/bad it sounds with the time FX before the amp... I guess I can't do anything about the amp loop itself, huh? I saw another post somewhere (of course I can't find...

Is 2010 Multi-Watt Dual Rectifier loop actually serial?

I saw a couple posts that alluded to a flaw with the rectifier design where you could not mod the parallel loop models to be 100% serial, and I'm wondering if this could be the case with the 2010 model... in terms of the flaw, that is. While trying to use my DR with a GSP1101 unit I just got, I...

Where can I get a Recto 2x12 vert live-in case?

ah-HA!!! I actually looked on that site the other day and didn't find the right case... I just wasn't searching very well :? Thanks!

Where can I get a Recto 2x12 vert live-in case?

Can anyone recommend a company from whom I can buy a live-in style flight case for my Rectifier 2x12 vertical cab that ISN'T over $500? I've found some lid-style case for anywhere from $125 to $500, but I like the live-in style where I can pop the front cover off and have a protected top with...

Soon-to-be Recto user has a couple questions before buying

To be honest, the 50W isn't giving me the same tones at lower volumes... I agree that the amp has to be turned up a bit to get a rich distortion that isn't fizzy. So yes, it may not be as useful as I had hoped. But I haven't had a lot of time to experiment with the amp either to find where the...

Soon-to-be Recto user has a couple questions before buying

I wanted the option of the 50W mode specifically so I could power smaller cabs without overpowering them. I actually like it with the 2x12 (haven't tried it with my 1x12 Egnater yet). Last night when I was playing at pretty good volume in my studio, I could tell the 100W setting was "bigger,"...

Soon-to-be Recto user has a couple questions before buying

Thanks! This is what I was looking for... Although Whiteop describes turning his Send Loop all the way up. I'll turn it up as much as possible while making sure I'm not clipping the GT's input. Oh, I would... if I didn't just max out my credit card on the DR  BTW, here she be...

    Rectifier footswitch extension cable?

lol!! thanks ;) Actually, I decided to get a Voodoo Labs Control Switcher and will strap it to the amp and run a MIDI cable to it from the GT-8. Thanks for all the help though!! :D

Soon-to-be Recto user has a couple questions before buying

Well, I done it... I have a 2010 Dual Rectifier sitting on top of a 2x12 Recto cab in my jam room. Now the fun begins... some good, some bad... I've played for the past couple of hours and set up the 3 channels to sound pretty dang good (courtesy of Mr. Petrucci's "how I set up my Mark V"...

    Rectifier footswitch extension cable?

Thanks for the input. Yes, I had considered putting the switcher at the amp, but thought it would be a lot more convenient to stick it in and power it from my pedalboard case. If I have it at the amp, I'll need to power it, and make sure it doesn't fall or anything... and I can't afford yet to...

    Rectifier footswitch extension cable?

I'd like to get an RJM mini gizmo to control a DR amp from my MIDI-capable GT-8 board (having the gizmo & GT in my pedalboard box), but the RJM cable is only 10-ft. Is it possible to buy an extension cable for this purpose? Or even a female/female adapter to connect the gizmo cable to the...

Soon-to-be Recto user has a couple questions before buying

I would love to be able to have the spectrum of cabs for all situations, but I only have so much money ;P I have an Egnater Tweaker 112 extension cabinet already (16 ohm) that I could use for low-volume settings, but the 212 Rectifier cab would likely do just fine for the same, right?

Soon-to-be Recto user has a couple questions before buying

All very good points. I've been getting buy with a 30W 112 combo stacked on top of a 112 extension cab for a while without any problem. I would easily be able to get buy with a 212 cab, but I guess I've been more worried about the tonal difference between the 412 & 212... I played the DR...
