QFT. this will cut down the "flubbiness" of your amp a LOT. the pedal will tighten the sound, compress mids, and clean up the high end.

+1 to a used 1527 or 7620. Out of all the 7 strings out there I've always found that Ibanez has consistently made the best sounding/playing 7s, imo. the S7320 is a killer guitar for the money too.

I really like 10-52, add a 66 if you happen to have a 7-string. Gives the perfect feel for both leads and rhythms, in my opinion.
