    Hamer USA Goldtop

Anyone have any idea what they run for on the market nowdays? Have a late 80's model that I have no use for so looking to see how much would be reasonable to ask for. If not can you direct me to somewhere that I could get a reasonable approximation? Thanks

    anybody tried the roadking 4x12?

I've got one of them. They aren't quite as tight or percussive as the normal. Then nice thing about them is you can "almost" have 2 2x12's out of them due to the 3/4 back design if you have play through a roadking and use the cab switching.

is diezel a lot better than mesa? absolutely not

    They are made in Germany.

is diezel a lot better than mesa? absolutely not

Wasn't really trying to say they are the "Only tone needed" :) I'd love to have a Bogner Ecstacy or Uberschall, and maybe a couple of the old vintage Marshall's etc... I think what I was getting at was that Diezel may be a little greedy, or a little too proud of their product

is diezel a lot better than mesa? absolutely not

I've got a rig thats similar to his.... rocktron xpression, but with a Road King. Looking at the price of the head on the net, I don't think i'd be able to justify the extra expense. Now the RoadKing isn't exactly a cheap amp but.... I don't think he's getting any better...

Why I hate Guitar Center (Mesa Related) But really long.

Don't think it can be that hard. When I ordered my roadking through GC in little rock they had to order the head from cali and the cab from NY.. i'm sure if little rock can do it most of the others can too. As far as the GC bashing goes... i've had my share of bad experiences with them (my...

I'm maybe considering buying a Road King.

I've owned a RoadKing since mid Feb. I've yet to find a tone that I couldn't dial in with a little bit of EQ'ing from a Rocktron xpression. Had a fellow over today that had never played on a Mesa, and had "always" played on Marshall and Fender since the early 70's. He stated that the RoadKing...

    Road King Cab

the speakers are seperated, so yeah it is pretty much 2 2x12s. as far as the different amps it all depends on what you like. i tend to like the sound of mesa's all the way around, so with the 4 channels on the amp its pretty much like having 2-3 amps at once. then again if you like them you...

    Rocktron Xpression

Just picked one up off the internet, and have had it for around 3 weeks now. Has really good sounds/transparency considering the price. Anyone on the board have one, and have had it for a while? I'd be interested in getting some midi dumps for it if you know where to find them..

    Road King Cab

it's not that you can't get some good metal sounds out of it, but if it's the percussive thing your after (and alot of people asking about the rectifier series seem to be after that) imo the closed back would be a better choice. i have no problems getting a good pantera(ish) sound out of the...

    Road King Cab

I have the roadking head and cab (slant). It is a 3/4 back setup, and it is nice to have the ability to cabinet switch from closed to open within the same cab. But, it also has some disadvantages depending on what sound your going for. If your mainly after a nice tight percussive Metal sound...

    Recording equipment opinions.

Only recording that I have done is through a J-Station with my computer. Would like to get a good basic setup that is a little more robust. ie microphones etc... Can anyone suggest a good basic setup to go for? 4 track recorder? cd vs tape vs digital setup? Thanks :!:

Thanks much for the info. Next question: Opinions on midi footcontrollers: Rocktron Midimate Behringer FCB1010 RFX MidiBuddy Any real reason to pick one over the other, price, features, ease of use?

    Axess electronics

Wondering if anyone has experience with the CFX4 vs the GRX4? Just got a Rocktron Xpression to go with a RoadKing, and would like to hook it up with midi to channel switch at the same time. Will the CFX4 work for this, or do I have to wait for the GRX4 to come back into production? Thanks in...
