    FS/FT: Lonestar Classic Head MINT

Can I tempt you to ship it to the UK? I know it would cost more which I've happily pay for, there are just so few heads in the UK

If the Lonestar didn't exist, what would you turn to?

Thanks everyone. In summary, buy a Lonestar!! I'm just about the get a double pay check this month as i mvoe from self employed to employed status, so I think I can justify it :) Still high prices over here in the UK are painful, even used. Found 2 1x12s though, having owned the 2x12 and...

If the Lonestar didn't exist, what would you turn to?

If that terrible day came and all Lonestars became extinct, what amp would you turn to instead? I'm totally taken with the demos I've heard, andy Timmons especially so really want one but it's a big outlay and I want to make sure I've done my research properly!

If you didn't play a Lonestar....

To be honest, I do like my current amp with the BB preamp for that thick lead tone. Doens't stop the GAS for a new amp, but money procludes me. I suppose my question is more broad than oringially asked, and it's more like "what makes the LSC so warm"??

If you didn't play a Lonestar....

What would you play? Don't get me wrong, the Lonestar Classic tone is what I want and I'd love to be able to afford it but the cost in the UK is so high, I really can't justify it. So, is there anything in your travels that you've come across that made you say "wow! that's an awful lot like my...

    Coping with the weight

Drummer safe? That's a good case!

    Which Xotic Pedal?

Not an entirely on topic post, but I use both currently and plan to do so once I get an LSC. The RC is always on for me, really nice thickening to the sound without messing with the original signal. And the BB is on my board for that Andy Timmons video alone(!), it's got plenty of gain on tap...

    Coping with the weight

I am persuaded, but now got to pay for a wedding so the expense might have to wait! Stick it on the wedding list?!

    Coping with the weight

A trolley is a good idea, might have a look at those. That does mean I could get one of the plentiful 2x12 LSCs around rather than waiting for ahead to come around but gotta find the money for the Lonestar is self first though!

    Coping with the weight

Wow, thanks for all the replies - you clearly feel my pain! I am currently looking for a head but they seem scarce in the UK (lots of 2x12s on the bay but no heads) and the full price is a little too rich for me at the mo. Does anyone have actual weights of all the options - LSC head, LSC...

    Coping with the weight

GBPHow do you guys do it?! I owned a 2x12 LSC briefly but couldn't cope with the weight (and felt guilty about the outlay at the time). Now I'm thinking of getting an LSC again, I'm worried that I won't like the weight. I currently play a 1x12 Zinky Blue Velvet which weights 45 lbs. Along...

    LSC or LSS: Opinions Welcome

I'm no expert, but both are great amps. What style of music do you play and on what sort of guitars? I believe the general opinion is LSC for Humbuckers, LSS for single coils but YMMV. Any chance of getting both / getting one and being able to trade for other if you don't like it? Whats...

    LSS & Fulltone Fat Boost

Another vote for the RC Booster - I got one last week and at this weeks band practice had it on all the time. It relaly thickened up my clean tone without really changing it, and I got "great sound" comments from people that would never say something like that! Check it out -alongside the BB...
