I do not use the LSS outside of my home so it is used at lower volume and I use it primarily with a 335-like guitar. Has anyone swapped out the 12" Black Shadow to get a jazzier and/or "fuller" sound, particularly at lower/practice volume, than one gets with the Black Shadow? Appreciate any...

Yes. Stock Black Shadow speaker. I am just grasping at straws here be wise I am going through a phase of not liking the sound with my thin archtop. Hence the request to see what settings others might use for jazz.

It is just the fatness that I would like to tame here. Even in channel 1. I wonder if it's time to consider a different speaker...

Anyone using a LSS for jazz? I can't seem to find a setting that I like. I am talking about low volumn with a small archtop. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When I called Mesa recently regarding a blown Rectifier tube, it was suggested that one should replace all of the EL84's every 18 months or so. Nothing was said about a 6 month rotation. I suppose there is no harm in the 6 month rotation and may well make sense if one is only using the 5 watt...

By rotating the tubes every 6 months, are you suggesting rotating the EL84's as pairs (inside to outside, etc.) or the other tubes, as well?
