I just purchased new EL34s and 6L6s for my Mark III Simul and checking the current draw on the shows 24ma on the EL34s and 14ma on the 6L6s. How is that supposed to be in the range of where it's suppose to sound good? HELLO!!!
I cannot tell you how many times I've gone through this. One time I get GREAT tubes that warm the cleans and provide wonderful, singing lead tones and the next time COLD, Sterile Bull$#i+.
That does it, I'm ordering a pot and modding this amp when I get the parts in. I cannot believe this. $91 for Brittle tone!!!!
