I have had the Mark IIC+ for about a month now. I have absolutely loved the way the amp sounds with my passive pickup guitars that I finally decided to plug in my Schecter Hellraiser for the first time this weekend. Unlike some other amps I have owned each of my guitars natural and distinct characteristics and tones shine through the IIC+.

I have been getting a ton of requests to see how the amp handles metal. I don't feel like I have really dialed in the active pickups the way I want just yet. Either way, here are a couple of clips I put together to show it off. I had to relearn these tunes as I recorded them but thought I would share my initial performances and tones. Since I recorded at low volume I hit it with a clean boost in front (Maxon OD-9). Upon listening back to the clips I think the guitars could use a bit more top end but I do like the overall tone. I like how the guitars sound aggressive and cutting on the first clip at the 2 minute 24 second mark.

Let me know what you think!! Thanks! BTW, I added a quick lead tone clip of Steve Vai's For the Love of God. This one was recorded with my EBMM Petrucci with no clean boost (all amp).

Christ, it completely baffles and eludes me how you get such a professional sound! Could you post your setup for recording and spare no detail!! Amazing tone and flawless recording....

Seriously though, I listen to your recordings at least once a week and it inspires me to try better recording methods and I just utterly fail at it to the point of sickening fustration! Really , if i could achieve your professional level of recording and some of the others that post here I would no longer need or have the desire to chase tone again. I would sincerely like to know your setup all the way down to the cables you use and the software you polish it with.

honestly ive liked some of your other clips better..this was a tad bass heavy for my taste
