Brighter tone - Older Dual Rec

I have KT77s in my 3ch Dual Rec but I'd really like to get the amp to be a little brighter, with higher mid focus, closer to the Stiletto high-mid with some the Recto lows.

Anyone done this, or attempted it and failed horribly?

Ever tried cranking the mids all the way up? There are some usable tones in that area.

^Agreed on the tubescreamer...big help on bringing out some more mids and highs.

The older rectifiers will definitely do this better right out of the box IMO.
