Any more updates on your hissing issue? I just picked up a Mini and love it but once I get past Noon on the gain the hiss starts up. I am thinking this is just the nature of cranking the gain on the amp.

Additional response from Humbucker Music I sent mine back today to have them take a look. I lost confidence in this amp and most likely exchanging for the Mini Rec. Much simpler and not as many switches, etc.

Unfortunately it did not work. I am also being told by Mesa this is "normal" pop and when switching wattage settings the best advice is to use standby. After a lot of Internet searching this seems to be a common problem with Mesas so sounds like I either deal with it or go with a different...

My 5:25+ custom arrived yesterday and boy does it look awesome. However, I am also getting a very loud popping when switching to a different wattage. I just emailed Humbucker tosee what they recommend.

I am casual player looking for a smaller amplifier that is portable to jam sessions. Based upon my budget, I have narrowed my choices down to the 5:25+ or the Mini Rec. Unfortunately, none of the local dealers in my area have both amps in stock so I haven't been able to play them side by side...

I found a great deal on a new demo Express 1X12 (2011 model) but I am very intrigued by the new Plus model. I wanted to get everyone's opinion if the Plus model is worth the extra $300-$400 .

What are your thoughts on the 5:50 1X12 compared to the 5:25 1X10? I am considering trading my 1X10 in for a 5:50 1X12 as I miss a 12" speaker.
