My TA has been reliable and problem free for over 5 years.
Today I powered on and found I had no sound coming from LD1 RED.
Ok, more precisely it sounds like I'm playing a clean channel with very low gain. It's like I have the vol control rolled all the way down on my guitar.

I have changed all 5 tubes with no effect.

Please give me some ideas :)

That mode has it's own board - maybe the connections to the board got messed up.

I had the same thing happen on mine (with the recto mod) Several years ago, I think it was a bad resistor on the tube related to that mode. refer it to a qualified service tech.

You dont think it has anything to do with those 'vactrol' things that I have heard about dying on the TA?

voltage controlled resistors? or light dependent resistors?

LDRs seem to be the culprit for a lot of TA act-ups, yeah... Maybe the LDR that controls the LD1 red board is dead?

I were you I take it to the tech and mention that assumption.
